Herb gardening is ideal if you have limited space such as a greenhouse window or small porch

Herb gardening can be done in a small space. This is ideal if you want to grow a garden but only have limited space such as a greenhouse window or a small porch. One of the nice things about herb gardening in a greenhouse window is that it can be done all year round, and you will have fresh herbs available for cooking anytime you want.

You can do your herb gardening completely in containers. This makes it easy to fit your garden to the space you have available. A greenhouse window is ideal, because it provides ample sunlight and keeps your herb gardens safe from extreme weather. If you don’t have any greenhouse windows, however, you can use various sizes of containers when planting a garden that will fit on a windowsill or on your porch.

Using containers for herb gardening makes it easy to move them as well. If you are planting herbs, or even growing vegetables, outside they can be moved easily if necessary. This way you can turn any window into a makeshift greenhouse window by moving your herb gardens indoors if the weather dictates it.

Make your herb gardening in a greenhouse window part of your home dˇcor.

When you use containers for your herb gardening, you can be creative with them. You don’t have to use common pots or planters. You might have some attractive tins, an old watering can or any number of other things that can be used as containers. Growing herbs in these containers in your greenhouse window can add to your home decor.
