Vegetable garden catalogs can be a great source for high quality mail order plants

You might have ordered tools or other garden accessories from garden catalogs in the past but mail order plants? Who would have thought you could order plants from garden catalogs. Of all the things you've bought through mail order plants are maybe one you hadn't considered.

As strange as it might seem, garden catalogs can be a great source of vegetable plants. Mail order plants are very well packaged, to weather the bumps they could get during shipping. They're also fed and nourished before being shipped so they will be healthy and ready to plant when you receive them.

When you order from garden catalogs, your mail order plants are ready to go in the ground when you receive them.

This can be a great time-saver. When you order vegetable plants from garden catalogs, you don't have to wait while the seeds get established. If you're a little late getting started on your garden, or you just don't want to have to start right from seeds, mail order plants can be just the thing for you.

Garden catalogs might not offer quite as good a selection of mail order plants as what you can get from seed catalogs. Some plants are not able to weather the shipping process, so if you want to grow them you need to start right from seed. Some seed catalogues offer both seeds and plants. We have a couple of recommended sources for great gardening catalogs on our seed companies page.
